THE MOST COMFORTABLE GOLF SHOES YOU CAN BUY.

I spend a lot of my Golfing life walking the course. I enjoy this mode of transitioning from hole to hole more enjoyable and I seem to play better as well. I've been through most major golf shoe companies from footjoy to nike to puma. They all make attractive and comfortable shoes. However, if you want a shoe that feels so unobtrusive that you feel like you are wearing a pair of running shoes out on a walk and yet provides more than enough traction even on a damp morning than this is the shoe for you. Of course there are many shoes that have now jumped on the bandwagon of street looking shoes for golf but you do get what you pay for. The Ecco's tend to be a little more expensive but provide the best comfort and traction. I would be willing to bet these babies will last the longest as well. I'm really pleased with this shoe and love the look as well. When I go on golf trips I use these shoes as my casual loafers as well and it saves me from having to bring another pair of shoes. I've had these for a year and already two of my golf partners have gone out and bought a pair.

Comfortable but...

ECCO Men's Golf Street Golf ShoeThis is a wonderfully comfortable shoe that is quite handsome. My locker room attendant warned me that the white rubber edging discolors to a dirty dingy grey and he was right. Apparently there is no cure for this. I find this a pity in an otherwise superb product. It would seem that ECCO could easily rectify this flaw.

I didn't like the fit of these shoes when I first tried them on. They felt way too big even though I originally tried on the same size shoe at my local golf store. They run big. I'm a 7.5 normally sometimes an 8 but I bought the size 41 which is supposed to be equal to a US 7-7.5 M. I put on a pair of medium weight walking socks and the shoes fit nicely. I did have some "digging" in of the shoe on my upper foot right behind my toes. I was considering sending them back. I finally unlaced the shoes and relaced them. They come with the lace entering the top of each eyelet, I relaced them with the lace entering the eyelet from the bottom and the "digging" problem went away. The lacing from the top configuration also prevented me from tightening the laces when I tied them. My first round of golf was today and my usual after golf sore aching feet were no where to be seen. I had good traction, comfort and stability all day. These shoes also makes you feel like you are lower to the ground, maybe its the lack of spikes? I'm considering buying the tennis shoe version of this shoe as well. I do wish that they had a bit more arch support and they are a bit pricey. Give these a try, you'll have one less thing to worry about during your next round of golf.
