Stick with Footjoy

These shoes disappointed on initial inspection. The quality of the shoe looked poorly put together with unfinished edges and thin flaps of leather (the tongues). The shoe was light and fit too snugly. I did not request another size due to the poor quality feel and appearance. Perhaps they should stick with sunglasses. I would compare this shoe unfavorably to the $59 low-end Footjoys.

Be aware not the same fit as 2011 model

I had last years model and love the shoe. For 2012 the design of the tongue is longer so it goes higher up on the foot. As a result, it digs in to your top part of the foot. Cannot wear the shoe since it is uncomfortable.

So far so good but a few concerns

Been to the range 3 times and played 1 round of golf in these shoes. They are soft and flexible - very surprised that no "break in" period needed. They wear very well however the sole is not padded well - I can feel the cleats through the sole when walking on harder surfaces. The laces are also surprisingly low quality and I don't expect them to last long. These are first impressions only; more as I wear them.

The shoe is a great shoe however very narrow for what is called a medium width. I don't believe anyone wearing a "normally" medium shoe would fit into these.

Nike golf shoes

Have only used my Nike shoes twice but am pleased with them because I have a bunion I need the wider fitting. With other golf shoes I have needed to put up with a few weeks of discomfort until they wore in. But these Nike's were comfortable from day one.

Not what I've grown to expect from FJ

I've had several pairs of FJ before but these aren't great. I order wide shoes (2E) but the shoes weren't thick enough for a comfortable fit. Do people with wide feet also have very thin feet?? I could barely get the shoelaces tied. The hard spikes on the bottom offer great stability but they really spike up the greens.
